I am Abuzar Manager a proud Barnied (1986 to 1990). I was a dayscholar with Greaves House. In 1989-90 i participated in "Not in the Book" annual school play directed by Mrs Arzoo Baker and was awarded the best performer as "Pedro Juarez". So of my close friends and batch mates were Sabir Noor, Latif Baig, Renu Handa, Chitra Pillai, Gaurav Mehra, Lorelle Thorpe and many many more....
I now live in Melbourne with my wife, brother and his wife. I can proudly say that the best of my school days have been given to me by Barnes and I would love to live it over again. On the same note, I would like to extend my heartiest wishes and thanks to all my teachers from Barnes some of them being, Mr Thorpe, Mrs Baker, Mrs Abraham, Mrs Driver, Mr Myall, Mr Gadre, Mr Korea and Late Mr Bhalerao. I logged onto the website looking for a long lost friend-Anupama Sharma, and was taken by surprise at the long list and more surprised at the differnce of decades in the list-full of history and memories, some familiar, others a rekindling.
Born in Delhi, my family moved to Pakistan during my stay in Barnes from 1983 to 1985. A very short but unforgettable period of my life. Now married and settled in Karachi, that world that I try to share with my near ones here are unable to relate to.
The picturesque location, the cross country track are vivid photographs in my mind where I can track down where my classes were held in Evans Hall. Funny that I forget what happened an hour ago but hold such a long term memory...
I completed my studies and earned an MBA degree from Karachi and am now a mother of two-aged 5 and 3, and a freelance writer. (i'll try adding a picture).
I hope when I visit India, I'm able to visit the school.

As on 23 Oct. 2008: I attended Class 8-10 ('74) @ Barnes. I took my ICSE examinations there. My Mother - Sheila Diol - taught in the school. My brother - Bobby Rajpal Diol also attended school at the same time. Principal Davis and his wife lived on campus. Some of my teachers at the time - Mr Bhalerao, Mr Gadre, Mr Gardner, and more. I saw some familiar names listed on the alumni page. In USA, I met Uresh Patel who was at Barnes - later. He was from UK, and now practices medicine in the state of Washington. , where he lives with his family. I live in Rochester, NY with my daughter. I work at Xerox. She is in high school. If anyone is passing through - please do contact. Bob lives in Hubertus, Wisconsin. He works for Metavante. He has 3 children, his eldest is in college, the son is in high school and the youngest is in middle school. Thank you for putting together this facility for maintaining contact. I have a few pictures - I will scan them and pass them on. There were at least 2 movie sets during my days at Barnes - Jaya Bhaduri was in Kora Kaagaz, and there was Saarika with Sachin in a different movie the following year.

Don Paxton, an Englishman was my immediate boss. he was the Asst. Comm. of Police (Operations) n was the No.2 man in the country, tats how my kids n I learnt to speak Arabic fluently. My children went to school there n my youngest daughter Hosannah Sarah was born in Oman. i have travelled extensively due to my gurls being in the airlines. My beloved mother passed away in the U.K in 1989 where she had gone to live with my brothers. My brothers Ashby n Alan r UK citizens, my brother Arthur passed away sum years ago n Ashton, my youngest brother has been happily married for sum 25+ yrs with 6 boys (1 pr of twins, Matthew & Nathan) in Bangalore, India. He's a U.K citizen. he adopted a local gurl with spina bifida n has named her Sarah. she was only a few months old when ash n wife joan adopted her. she's gorgeous n much loved by us all. Ashton is founder pastor of The First Principles Church n has a Doctorate in Theology.
